Floor systems Six systems. Matched to the floor.

What rolls, drips and spills on your floor decides the system. Every coating starts with the same prep, and every job gets the same install log.

Quick match

Which system?

A starting point. We confirm the system at the walkthrough, after we’ve seen the slab and tested it.

If your floor sees…Start with
Light traffic on a big open slab, and you don’t want a coating01Densify + seal / polish
Forklifts on poly wheels, pallet jacks, foot traffic02Standard
Steel wheels, carts, dropped parts, impact03Heavy-duty
Battery acid, solvents, chemical storage04Chemical-resistant

The systems

Built layer by layer.

  • Lithium silicate densifier
  • Concrete slab, ground and honed

System 01 · No film

Densify + seal / polish

For big-box distribution floors in good shape that need hardening and dust-proofing, not a coating.

Build
Lithium silicate densifier, optional polish
Where
Big-box distribution centers
Good to know
The densifier soaks in and hardens the top of the slab. There’s no film on top, so there’s nothing to peel. Polishing adds shine.
Quote System 01
  • Aliphatic urethane topcoat
  • 100% solids epoxy body coat
  • Epoxy primer
  • Concrete slab, ground to CSP 2–3

System 02 · 15–20 mils Main system

Standard

Our main system for coated warehouses, 3PL and manufacturing floors.

Build
Epoxy primer + 100% solids epoxy body coat + aliphatic urethane topcoat
Thickness
15–20 mils total
Where
Coated warehouses, 3PL, manufacturing
Good to know
The primer locks into the ground profile, the body coat builds thickness, and the urethane topcoat takes the abrasion and stays stable in UV.
Quote System 02
  • Urethane topcoat
  • Epoxy slurry or double-broadcast quartz
  • Epoxy primer
  • Concrete slab, ground to CSP 2–3

System 03 · ~1/8"

Heavy-duty

For floors that take steel wheels, carts and impact all day.

Build
Epoxy slurry or double-broadcast quartz, about 1/8", sealed with urethane
Where
Steel-wheel traffic, impact zones, fab shops
Good to know
Roughly six times the thickness of the standard system, with quartz or slurry doing the work where a thin coating would chip.
Quote System 03
  • Novolac topcoat
  • Novolac epoxy
  • Primer
  • Concrete slab, ground to CSP 2–3

System 04

Chemical-resistant

For battery rooms, chemical storage and anywhere spills are part of the job.

Build
Novolac epoxy
Where
Battery rooms, chemical storage
Good to know
Novolac epoxy stands up to stronger acids and solvents than standard epoxy. Send us your chemical list and we’ll match the system to it.
Quote System 04
  • Polyaspartic clear coat
  • Full flake broadcast
  • Epoxy base coat
  • Concrete slab, ground to CSP 2–3

System 05

Flake

For floors people see: showrooms, service drives, locker rooms and garages.

Build
Epoxy base coat + full flake broadcast + polyaspartic clear coat
Where
Garages, showrooms, locker rooms, dealer service areas
Good to know
Texture underfoot, hides dust and wear, and installs fast. It’s our one-day garage system. Not for warehouse aisles.
Quote System 05
  • 1/4" urethane cement or MMA
  • Concrete slab, ground to CSP 2–3

System 06 · 1/4"

Urethane cement / MMA

For food plants, commercial kitchens, cold storage and floors that are never dry.

Build
1/4" urethane cement, or fast-cure MMA
Where
Food plants, cold storage, wet areas
Good to know
Built for hot washdowns, thermal shock and constant water. MMA cures fast when the area has to be back in service quickly.

Prep

Every coating starts the same way.

A coating is only as good as its bond to the slab. None of this is optional, on any job.

  1. CSP 1
  2. CSP 2
  3. CSP 3
  4. CSP 4
  5. CSP 5
  6. CSP 6
  7. CSP 7
  8. CSP 8
  9. CSP 9
  10. CSP 10

Concrete surface profile (ICRI scale)Our target: CSP 2–3

  • Grind or shot-blast to CSP 2–3

Opens up the concrete so the primer bonds to sound slab, not to dirt, old sealer or a weak surface layer.

  • Moisture-test every slab

Before we price. If it reads wet, a moisture barrier goes on the bid as its own line.

  • HEPA dust collection

Every grinder and shot-blaster runs with HEPA dust collection under OSHA’s silica rule.

  • Rout and fill cracks

Cracks are opened up and filled so they don’t show through the new floor.

  • Polyurea in the joints

Control joints get a semi-rigid polyurea fill that supports the edges where forklift wheels cross.

  • Every coat logged

Temperatures, dew point, batch numbers, mix ratio, coverage and time between coats, with photos.

Topcoats

Urethane or polyaspartic?

Both are clear, tough and UV-stable. The difference is cure speed and how they roll out over big areas.

Default on large commercial floors

Aliphatic urethane

Abrasion-resistant and UV-stable, and it rolls out evenly across tens of thousands of square feet. It’s the topcoat on our standard and heavy-duty systems.

When the floor has to reopen fast

Polyaspartic

Cures fast. We use it on garages and flake floors, and on commercial areas that need to be back in service the same day.
